This Christmas as we watched our two sons we couldn’t be more thankful especially to Adoption Ark and Ally for giving us the best gift of all - Making us a Family…
On September 3, 2007 we not only gained the two most perfect little boys as our sons, these perfect little boys became brothers.
Our Journey…
You always hear the line “you’re exactly where you need to be” especially in times of despair. After three IVF procedures, two resulting in pregnancy losses, one at 20 weeks with twin boys…we couldn’t understand “Why”… But on Christmas Day 2007 we now understand “Why”… That path was the path we needed to be on to have these perfect little boys in our life. That path lead us to the thought of “Adoption” and eventually to Adoption Ark. Thankfully our journey was a short journey…a summer journey.
We made our first contact with Adoption Ark through around Memorial Day. We were introduced to an angel called “Ally”. She guided us through the massive amount of paperwork we needed and we were invited on our first trip on 4th of July. On that first trip agreed to adopt our boys, we came home to finalize the paperwork and await the court date. We got the phone call that Labor Day would be our court date and on Labor Day 2007 we became a family.
These perfectly healthy, happy, active boys ages 27 months and 19 months are the loves of our lives and have become real brothers. We couldn’t imagine our lives without them and we couldn’t imagine them without each other. Thank you to everyone involved with Adoption Ark.
What’s next for the Simons family…possibly a little girl?
