Adoption is a leap of faith-faith that you can finally become a family, faith that your child will attach to her forever family and faith that all obstacles can be overcome. I am so happy that I took that leap of faith. Every day with my daughter is a new adventure and I can't even begin to imagine life without her. She is attaching to her extended family-she even decides which aunt or cousin to call each night. She loves sharing the "news" of the day. Of course there have been obstacles-both in Russia and now at home (health related)but Mya is growing and seems to be enjoying her new home and new experiences. The best thing is that every morning she wakes up with a big smile and says "Good Morning, Mama!" So I have to believe that this leap of faith was meant to be!
