In September of 2007 we started our 2nd adoption with Adoption Ark to bring our son Jacob home from Kyrgyzstan. We said yes to adopting Jacob on September 21st of 2007; on October 9, 2007 we made our first trip over to Bishkek to meet Jacob. We bonded with Jacob for 2 days before we had to travel home to finish our paperwork. We were the pioneer couple for the Kyrgyzstan program, which was a bit daunting at times, but Ally and Elena really helped us through the entire process.
In March of 2008 my mother-in-law and I traveled back to Kyrgyzstan to bring Jacob home. The coordinator and translator in Kyrgyzstan were wonderful. They were with us every step of the way.
Jacob has been home now for 1 ½ yrs and has adjusted wonderfully. He and his big brother Nicholas do everything together; they are the best of friends!
