It's been 3 months since we brought Katia and Ola home to Minnesota. Looking at them you’d think they’ve lived here for years. They have adapted amazingly well. Their English has come along very fast. We can now have conversations with them without having to resort to our English-Russian dictionary. Both girls are very caring, loving and sensitive. They are so happy with their new lives and they tell us everyday how much they love us. The only concern we had through the process was that the orphanage medical records listed Katia as having trouble with her heart. We took her to a specialist last month, and we are happy to report that she and Ola are perfectly healthy. The girls are both excelling in school. Katia has even learned to read English without any instruction. They are very smart! I think their wonderful disposition says a lot about the treatment they received at the orphanage. The girls were well taken care of and were shown a lot of love by their caretakers and friends. We went into the process not knowing what to expect, and things couldn’t have turned out more perfectly. The day we met the girls in the orphanage they were given the choice as to whether or not they wanted to become part of our family. We couldn’t be happier that they chose us to be their parents! We were pleased with the assistance provided to us by Viktor and Vladimir in Ukraine. They kept us safe, well fed and went out of their way to speed things up as quickly as possible.
