This email came to Natasha. It is a note of appreciation and remembrance from a family that adopted a beautiful girl and brought her home about a year ago. We are always happy to receive updates and reminders that children adopted with our help are doing great. Thank you for keeping in touch with us!
Hi Natasha
It's been almost a year since our trip to Kazakhstan. I thought you might like an updated photo of Sasha. She is doing very well. She loves her family and has adjusted to the US very well. She speaks rarely of her former life and appears to want to put it behind her. I guess we will never truly know what has happened to her. Academically she is doing well, although reading is still a challenge. We still see Jill and Todd on occasion, and the girls have both invited each other to their birthday parties. Sasha is sleeping over Katia's house next weekend. This photo was taken yesterday after we went to our yearly "Clamfest" in town. Could you please forward it to the director of the orphanage and ask her to show it or forward it to the regional translators and coordinators. That would be great. I once had their e-mails but can not find them. I hope all is well. Thank you again for bringing this beautiful child into our lives.
