We had a great experience and just returned with our 4 yr old daughter on July 2nd. Adoption Ark was a very good agency to work with. They sent us all of the instructions, answered questions and held our hand through the process. We started on November 1st, sent in the dossier the 3rd week of January and got our invitation to travel on April 15th. We probably could have shaved another 2 or 3 weeks out of the process – but Christmas and a death of a relative put it on hold for a few weeks. We spent 3 weeks in May in Kazakhstan bonding, returned home then returned the third week of June to get her from the orphanage and to the US Embassy in Almaty f or final processing. So from the beginning of paperwork to the point she made it to our house, it took 8 months. Considering the potential problems that could have arisen due to language and cultural differences there in Kazakhstan, we felt very fortunate to have the right people here in the US and there in Kazakhstan guiding us successfully through the process. So in a nutshell – we were quite happy with Adoption Ark – very honest, in the business for the right reasons and very efficient.
